Qualified Staff
The Center’s staff have the experience and concentrated knowledge you need. All our Occupational Therapists have received additional and ongoing training, keeping them up to date with all of the latest and progressive techniques. We also have certified hand therapists with advanced training to rehab upper extremity injuries/conditions.
Specialized Equipment
Our equipment is specifically designed to meet individual needs of treatment and conditioning. Emphasis is placed on the preventive aspects of orthopedic upper extremity rehab, return to independent ADL’s (activities for daily living), work and leisure activities without limitations.

Conditions that Benefit from Occupational Therapy
- Work-related injuries including repetitive stress injuries
- Limitations from upper extremity/orthopedic injuries
- Arthritis, multiple sclerosis, or other serious chronic conditions
- Burns, peripheral nerve injuries, or amputations, tendon injuries, joint replacements
- Broken bones or other injuries from falls, or accidents
Treatment
We want the patient to be able to return to work, leisure, and their normal lifestyle as quickly as possible.
Treatment generally consists of therapeutic exercise and functional training. To promote proper movement and function of a joint, occupational therapists may manipulate the joint or massage a muscle. Other techniques may consist of:
- electrotherapy

- hot packs/ice
- instruction in adaptive equipment use to enhance ADLs
- splinting
- energy conservation
- myofacial release
- aquatic therapy
- using the BTE
- edema management
- scar management
- sensory reeducation
